NASE Newsletter July 2020

7/30/2020

I would like to update everyone on the status of the 2020 NACS/NASE/NADD National Convention that was to be held August 30-September 3 in Omaha, NE.  You may have heard already, but the 2020 convention has been officially cancelled.  It was a difficult decision for the Employee Associations to make, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt it was in the best interest of everyone involved.

For any members that have already submitted their registration fees, the Convention Committee will be providing you a full refund.  Committee Chair, Maureen Mausbach, NE, will have the refunds processed within the next week or two.

NASE Executive Board members serve a 2-year term, so thankfully, elections were not needed this year.  Current Zone Representatives have agreed to serve another year.  Below you will find the NASE Executive Board and Zone Reps for 2020-2021:

President – Tamee Renwick, IL
Vice-President – Norma Miller, IL                                                            Zone A Rep – Kim Dewbre, NM
Secretary – Tania Perlinger, NE                                                                Zone B Rep – Kelly Anderson, TX
Treasurer – Nancy Reiff, IN                                                                       Zone C Rep – Brittany Harney, IN
Past President – Angie Biester, NE                                                           Zone D Rep – Jackie Bigham, AR

The following are a few housekeeping items that were discussed during the July NASE Board meeting.  The categories are being handled somewhat differently due to COVID and no National Convention.

  1. Committees - NASE needs to completely fill our various committees.  Members will soon be contacted by Tamee Renwick or Norma Miller to ask for your participation.
  2. Award Nominations - any 2020 nominations submitted to Norma Miller by August 7th  will be carried over to next year’s convention.
  3. Task Force Members – if you served on a Task Force this past year, please provide a brief report to Tamee and Norma via email by September 30, 2020.
  4. Resolutions – We will be forwarding our resolutions to National Office for 2020.   Please submit your resolutions to the Resolution Coordinators, Norma Miller and Angie Biester by August 14th.

Remember, resolutions can be submitted at any time.  Please visit our website for a resolution form or just to browse!  The website is located at www.fsanase.org.

Please stay healthy!!

Tamee Renwick
NASE President

This individual does not necessarily have to be a member of NASE. Final selection for this award will be made by the Resource Committee.

BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS AWARD: A nomination for the NASE Blood, Sweat & Tears Award is an honor befitting those who have performed well above the call of duty on behalf of the members of our Association.
